Telling Childhood Goodnight.They were the fearless whispers through the starless night.
They were the pounding feet through the cobbled streets,
Screaming out for everything.
They were the fleeting memories of a time long gone by,
Blown away in the wind to a far away sky,
Where the air is cold and the stars never shine.
 
Memories leave their traces behind,
The scars on my legs from a day long gone by.
I was climbing a rock,
That would forever leave me with a flaw.

Anthony was a 14 years old, medium height, quite skinny, with brown eyes and black hair.  He was a loner, serious, and nobody really knew what made him tick; sometimes, he behaved very maturely for his age, at other times, the complete opposite.

He had spent nearly all his life in the boarding school "Frederick Williams", which was a strict, religious institute for boys. Nothing very interesting ever happened and everybody was always in a bad mood.

Even though it was the start of school and not even close to the end of the day, I still had the aching puking feeling whenever I thought about Aubrey and her friends in my car. Someone is knocking on the front desk. I wake up.
It is a guy. He is wearing a suit.

Some people make use of toys when they are in the hotel. Some of them leave it behind. There is a pink ellipsoid on the table. I pick it with a picker. It is covered with lubricant, or something else. It disgusts me. I put the ellipsoid in a trash bag.
I feel dizzy. I wipe my forehead. It is covered with cold sweat. I head into the bathroom in the room. I remember. I had a disgusting dream. I vomit into the toilet. Nothing but sour yellowish water comes out of my mouth.

Mika sat on her towel in the sand and stared out at the rolling ocean. She kept glancing at her watch, waiting…and waiting. Patience wasn’t her strong suit, but she knew that she would have to be. The time was 4:45 PM…he should have come by now. Where was he? Mika grunted and pulled her window blinds glasses over her eyes and lay back on the towel, closing her eyes. The suns heat fell over and washed her skin, her bikini absorbing heat as well into its fabric. She placed her hands over her naval and sighed.

Before.So this is how it’s going down:

I have had my hair long for at least fifteen years. I remember—or at least, I think I remember—climbing up on the sink in our trailer-house, finger the back of my head and saying, “Mom, I want long hair.”

I’ve had it growing ever since.

That’s not to say I’ve never had a haircut, just that I’ve never had it short ever since. I trim a bit here, clip a bit there, get rid of bubble gum and bramble seeds and sometimes snip some bangs up when I’m feeling rebellious. I usually regret the bangs pretty quickly. I understand the strong stand point of, you're strong or you die, you're intelligent or you fail, you dominate or be dominated, true or not, it Is something we should try to overcome, we are no longer roaming animals fighting viciously for our own survival, nor am I suggesting a hippie state, because personally I think that would be a terrible Idea.

Love and hate has its places, when a man dominates another it makes him correct, whether or not he actually is, what he says and does is seen and judged as correct and that is harmful.

Sorry for the bad Latin, I tried my best to add some dramatic effect.

I present to you the new Founder of FightToWrite: ~slowslicksnails/Shane! :iconslowslicksnails:
Shane's poetry has a kind of broad meaning to it yet still retains the synergy of a well-written poem. His prose is gritty and is exactly the kind of work this group encourages; he really is an example, the Daily Deviations and Daily Literature Deviations he's received speak for themselves. In addition, another of his groups has already achieved success within its first week and therefore, I think Shane is going to be an outstanding successor and take this group to new heights.

The group foundership will officially transfer to him on Wednesday 24th April 2013 and I'll cease to be a Founder or Co-Founder. So now I'd like to ask you all to give him a raucous welcome and make him feel at home. He won't disappoint, I'm sure :)

Thanks for a wonderful 2 years at the helm and a special thanks to the group's team of admins for sticking with us for so long.
